Friends of Avening School (FOAS) are a school PTA (Parent Teacher Association) bringing together parents, teachers and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community. We are a charity whose objectives centre around Fundraising and Community.
Enriching Learning
FOAS is the difference between Avening pupils having access to a feast of resources that enrich their learning, such as contemporary technologies; or facing limitations.
Avening School is particularly proud to offer all students, regardless of circumstances, year-round participation in every school trip experience. Without regular contributions from FOAS, sustaining this pledge would be a challenge.
In addition to fundraising, FOAS arrange events such as seasonal fetes and school discos, to bring the community together and add an extra layer of enjoyment to village school life.
