Wow! What a fantastic sale! 🌟 We’re delighte Wow! What a fantastic sale! 🌟 We’re delighted that such an incredible amount of uniform has gone to new homes. A huge, huge, thank you to Ana for organising and running the sale. Thank you to everyone who has donated items, and thank you to all the staff who helped clean and fold items ready for reusing! Special thanks to Lola and Eliza M for their brilliant sale posters 🤩 Keep a look out for the next sale, which we plan to run before the summer holidays 😎

This Friday we’re holding one of our biggest ever uniform sales… it’s huge! What’s more, every item is FREE. Simply choose as many pieces as you need and - if you’d like to - a donation to FOAS is always appreciated. Donations can be received in cash or via phone/card on the day, or you can use the DONATE button on our website. Pop along to the school playground at 3.15, and get kitted out!! Don’t forget to bring some shopping bags 🛍️😁 See you there!

On Sunday 8th June, FOAS will be filling the village with beautifully decorated bears for our annual Avening Bear Hunt - and we’d love your support! We’re looking for local businesses to Sponsor a Bear. Hundreds of families attend this much loved event every year. Each sponsor will have their logo and business information displayed alongside a bear on the trail. Sponsors will also be promoted across the FOAS social media pages. Ready to back a Bear? We can BEARLY believe it... The Avening Bear Hunt We can BEARLY believe it... The Avening Bear Hunt is back! SUNDAY 8TH JUNE 2025 🐻 Looking back over the years, there have been some absolutely wonderful designs and creations from villagers and beyond. This year’s trail is set to be as PAWSOME as ever!! 🐻 🐾 Join us on Sunday 8th June from 12 to 3pm. Each hunt map costs £2, and every penny goes towards supporting Avening Primary School. This year, we’re raising money for new outdoor play equipment and helping to cover the increasing cost of transport for school trips - both of which enrich the daily experiences of the children. In addition to the brilliant bears on the day, will be children’s picnic lunches, ice creams, cakes, face painting and bear crafts. PLUS! Return your completed hunt map at the end of your trail to receive a delicious treat!

The well-loved village bear hunt returns with a pa The well-loved village bear hunt returns with a pawsome trail and unbearlievable displays. Begin your hunt at Avening Memorial Hall. Picnic lunches, ice creams, tea, coffee, cakes, face painting. bear gifts and crafts will also be available. Book tickets and picnics online - 🐻 link in bio 🐻 £2 per map – plus, return your completed map at the end of the trail to receive a treat! One treat per map. SAVE and preorder your children’s picnic lunches online for just £3. Lunches will also be available to buy on the day for £3.50 each (while stocks last). If you’d like to design a bear to feature in the hunt, we’d love to hear from you! Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to live on the trail route to host a bear, simply think of a name and start designing! Past examples include “Billbear Baggins”, “The Statue of Libearty” and “Mary Beary”. We’re also offering an exciting prize of a £50 Giffords Circus Voucher and Goodie Bag (kindly donated by Giffords) for the bear voted “Best in Show”.

It was wonderful to see the children in their brilliant bonnets, walking to the school hall in a sea of colour and imagination. Congratulations to all the prize winners. FOAS were so pleased to provide a range of tasty awards. We’re already looking forward to next year’s parade! It’s the last day of school tomorrow before the It’s the last day of school tomorrow before the Easter holidays! There are so many lovely things happening including the Easter Bonnet Parade, Talent Show, and of course, the Avening School Easter Egg Hunt. FOAS were super excited to deliver over 100 chocolate eggs yesterday. Happy hunting! 🐰🥕🐣🍫🥚🐑

Parents are invited to watch over the school wall as the children parade their creations towards the hall for their Easter Celebration Assembly on the morning of Friday 11th April. FOAS will be providing prizes for some of the best bonnets!
